Not much is going to be changing now until the middle of January. All the theatres have already opened their Christmas shows or will do so this week. In Bath SNOW WHITE is at the Theatre Royal, LITTLE MERMAID is in the egg while the non-Christmassy THE OPEN HOUSE continues in the Ustinov. There are traditional pantomimes at Cheltenham which has DICK WHITTINGTON and Oxford Playhouse which has JACK AND THE BEANSTALK. SLEEPING BEAUTY is very popular with productions at Tewkesbury, Hereford and Worcester. Bristol Old Vic has Emma Rice’s THE LITTLE MATCHGIRL while elsewhere in Bristol BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is at Tobacco Factory Theatres, ALADDIN is at the Hippodrome and the also non-Christmassy RESERVOIR MOGS is at The Wardrobe. The Rep at Birmingham has THE HUNDRED AND ONE DALMATIONS while CINDERELLA opens at the Hippodrome there . . .
