14 – 17 January

It’s 3am and you’re wide awake. Your mind is spinning – exam results, unread texts, crushes, capitalism, that thing you said in Year 9. Homework’s due. The planet’s burning. Someone out there is sleeping soundly. How?

How Do You Sleep At Night? dives into the quiet (or not-so-quiet) hours before bed to explore everything that keeps us up – a late-night reckoning with the petty, the political, and the personal. With humour, honesty, and a lot of tossing and turning, this show follows a group of restless young people in pursuit of something that should be simple: a good night’s sleep.

A show for night owls, rage-scrollers, overthinkers, and anyone who finds the world too loud to rest. Who gets peace? Who gets pressure? And what does it mean to sleep soundly in a world like this?

How Do You Sleep at Night? is the latest show from Bristol Old Vic’s Young Company, directed by Paige Stevens and devised by the Company.
