Offbeat 2019 sees more than 50 shows and events over 13 days, spanning theatre, comedy, spoken word, music, family-friendly events and dance. At least a quarter of the programme is made up of performances from Oxfordshire-based artists and companies, with the remaining being seen in Oxford for the first time. The vast majority of the tickets are priced at £10 or less, allowing as many people as possible to access this hugely exciting festival.  StageTalk Magazine’s @BookingAround reports . . .

It’s June, and that means one thing in Oxford – Offbeat Festival! You start to see pink bowler hats cropping up all around town, and that means, if you know where to look, you can find some great theatre, comedy, music, dance, and spoken word happening as part of this fun little festival. As always, Offbeat is a shared endeavour from the Burton Taylor Studio and the Old Fire Station, and this year, it’s spread over two weeks, with more than fifty shows, many of which are trial runs before Edinburgh. The festival has a really inclusive feel, with loads of diverse performers, and with tickets priced inexpensively.
