For the past 10 weeks the doors of The Wardrobe Theatre have been shut and unfortunately we still have no clear idea on when we’ll be able to open them again. Our priority over this time has been trying to ensure that the theatre exists post-pandemic and, thanks to our fantastically dedicated team of staff, our selflessly supportive Board of Trustees, our brilliant building partners at The Old Market Assembly and Arts Council England, we are now in a much more secure position than we were and we can begin thinking positively about the future. We are determined that The Wardrobe Theatre will be back, we’re just not quite sure when yet!

We have also been working to support and collaborate with the theatre community in Bristol, exploring new and alternative theatre experiences such as online/digital shows and investigating what a socially distanced theatre looks like and over the coming weeks we will begin sharing some original work from some exciting theatre makers, so watch this space!

In the meantime, we are accepting donations via our website and if you want to help further, you can become a member of The Wardrobe Theatre Fan Club – a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far and we hope to see you all very soon!
