From 19th June to 2nd July, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School will be presenting live-stream performances of four new plays with themes that are very relevant to today. This innovative venture is a creative collaboration with Bristol Old Vic, and will form part of their newly-launched, city-wide Bristol Arts Channel, with the plays being seen via their YouTube channel.

Like schools of all kinds, the BOVTS has had to adapt its methods to the current situation, and these plays have been produced in an entirely original fashion.  Artistic Director Jenny Stevens says, ‘At BOVTS we aim to produce the leading theatre and screen practitioners of the future, be that on stage or backstage, on screen or behind the camera. Students have approached these “locked down” shows with vivid imaginations and bold creativity. Clearly, the future of theatre and screen industries are in exciting hands. I salute them all.’   Mike Whitton
