13th March.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Solemanpour, starring Alan “Tweedy” Digweed,  is a collaboration between the Everyman Theatre and Makin Projects to join theatres across the world to commemorate the day theatres were forced to shut their doors due to Covid-19.

All money raised will benefit the Everyman’s Youth Theatre and Allsorts Gloucestershire, a charity supporting children with additional needs and their families.

Red Rabbit White Rabbit is unique in that there is no rehearsal, no director, a different actor each night, and a script waiting in a sealed envelope on stage.

Since its premiere in 2011, the play has been translated into 20 different languages and has been performed over 1,000 times by some of the biggest names in theatre and film, including Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, John Hurt, Simon McBurney, Stephen Rea, Sinead Cusack, Marcus Brigstocke and Ken Loach.

Alan ‘Tweedy’ Digweed performed in Waiting For Godot and The Dock Brief in recent years at the Everyman and is looking forward to taking on this challenge. He said: “Anything could happen! It’s good to try something new and it’ll be a surprise to everyone what the show is about – including me!”

The show is suitable for over 12’s as it does contain some swearing.
