13 – 14 March
A new play by William Humble Starring Robert Daws.
Based on the life and writing of P.G. Wodehouse, with songs by Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Ivor Novello.
P.G. Wodehouse (Plum to his friends), played by veteran stage and screen actor and novelist Robert Daws, is working on the latest adventure of Bertie Wooster at his New York State home in the 1950s when he’s interrupted by a would-be biographer, his adoring wife and daughter, and his two prized Pekingese.
Throughout a magical evening he shares his life story, how Jeeves entered his life, his addiction to American soap operas and songs composed by Broadway legends with lyrics written by himself.
Don’t miss this highly entertaining show filled with characters from Wodehouse’s classic tales including Bertie Wooster, Jeeves, Lord Emsworth, Gussie Fink-Nottle and the squashily romantic Madeline Bassett.
