OWL AT HOME brings a delightful tale about embracing life’s challenges to Bath’s Egg Theatre

Based on the illustrated children’s book by Arnold Lobel, Owl at Home is a new production adapted for the stage by Bristol-based Rina Vergano and Cardiff-based Theatr Iolo, touring to Bath’s Egg Theatre from Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th October. This enchanting tale with music, shows audiences how friendship can be found in the most unlikely of places, even with an owl in the woods, inside a cosy little home made in a hollow tree.

This witty and wonderful story, awarded 5 stars from Wales Theatre Review, follows Owl, who one morning is rudely awoken by his inconsiderate alarm clock and realises the calm day he had planned has gone out of the window. An unruly blanket and chaos with the vacuum cleaner leave Owl desperately attempting to keep calm and carry on when things go from bad to worse. Exploring life’s little adventures, Owl at Home shows children aged 5 to 11 years old how to embrace every day challenges, even when things go a bit wrong.

Theatr Iolo has been at the forefront of creating theatre for children in Wales for over thirty-five years, working to ignite the imagination and creativity of young minds. Aiming to create memorable live theatre, workshops and activities in both English and Welsh, their work for babies, children and teenagers has toured across the UK and internationally.

Owl at Home appears at The Egg from Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th October. To book tickets call the Theatre Royal Box Office on 01225 448844, The Egg on 01225 823 409 or visit www.theatreroyal.org.uk/whats-on/
