West End sensation Bonnie & Clyde visits the Theatre Royal Bath as the award-winning musical tours nationwide for the first time.

Bonnie & Clyde The Musical is the story of two small-town kids from the middle of nowhere who became the biggest folk heroes in all America. They craved adventure – and each other. Fearless, shameless and alluring, this award-winning production tells the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire nation.

Winner of Best New Musical at the 2023 WhatsOnStage Awards, the first UK and Ireland tour of Bonnie & Clyde The Musical follows hot on the heels of two hell-raising hit seasons in London’s West End at the Arts Theatre and the Garrick Theatre.

Catherine Tyldesley makes her musical theatre debut as Blanche Barrow. Catherine is well known to television viewers for her many screen roles, including Eva Price in more than 750 episodes of ITV’s Coronation Street. She also played Abi Peterson in ITV’s Emmerdale, Emma in Sky One’s Trollied, Sara in Channel 5’s 15 Days and competed in the 2019 series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Most recently, Catherine has appeared as First Officer Kate Wood in the Channel 5 series The Good Ship Murder and starred as Karen in the BBC series Scarborough.

Alex James-Hatton, who plays the role of Clyde Barrow, has starred in the musicals Newsies at London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre; Pippin at Charing Cross Theatre; The Book of Mormon in the West End and on UK tour, and Heathers The Musical in the West End, for which he features on the original London cast album. Nate Landskroner, whose credits include Waitress and Heathers, will perform the role of Clyde at matinee performances. Katie Tonkinson, who plays Bonnie Parker, starred in Bat Out of Hell in the West End and on tour nationwide and internationally, and performed in Tarantino Live at Riverside Studios. Lauren Jones plays the role of Bonnie on Saturday matinees.

Sam Ferriday, who plays Marvin “Buck” Barrow, has toured the UK in The Cher Show, Ghost, Rock of Ages, Jersey Boys, Treason, Over the Rainbow – The Eva Cassidy Story and starred in Heathers in the West End. His screen credits include Endeavour, Shadow Observers and Land Girls. AJ Lewis, whose credits include Mandela and Mrs Doubtfire, appears as The Preacher and Daniel Reid-Walters, whose credits include Girl from the North Country and The Railway Children, plays the role of Ted Hinton.

They are joined by Taryn Sudding as Cumie Barrow and Governor Miriam Ferguson, Alexander Evans as Henry Barrow, Deputy Johnson and Ensemble, Andrew Berlin as Captain Frank Hamer and Ensemble, James Mateo-Salt as Sheriff Schmid and Ensemble, Callum Henderson as Bud, Archie and Ensemble, Jasmine Beel as Stella, Emma Parker and Ensemble, Oonagh Cox as Eleanore and On-Stage Swing, Michael Cortez as Off-Stage Swing and Resident Director and Olivia Lallo as Off-Stage Swing and Dance Captain.

The production features music by multi-Grammy, Tony and Emmy Award nominee Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlett Pimpernell, Death Note), lyrics by Tony and Oscar winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love), and a book by Emmy Award nominee Ivan Menchell (Blended [movie], The Cemetery Club, Death Note The Musical).

Bonnie & Clyde The Musical is directed and choreographed by Nick Winston with Set and Costume Design by Philip Witcomb. Musical Supervision is by Katy Richardson with Associate Musical Supervision from Nick Barstow. Original Arrangements and Orchestrations are by John McDaniel with Additional Arrangements and Orchestrations by Jen Green. Lighting Design is by Zoe Spurr, Sound Design is by Tom Marshall, Video Design is by Nina Dunn and Associate Direction and Choreography is by Libby Watts. Wig and Hair Design is by Darren Ware and the Casting Director is Jim Arnold CDG. Issie Osborne is the Musical Director and Mike Dixon is the Consulting Musical Supervisor.
