Singing superstar JASON DONOVAN and comedian NATHAN CATON lead the cast as the legendary musical extravaganza THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW tours to the Theatre Royal Bath as part of a nationwide tour, after appearing in the West End in September.

The Rocky Horror Show defies space and time as it continues to captivate audiences around the world featuring all the beloved songs, outrageous characters and infectious energy that has made the show a global phenomenon for over five decades.

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, the smash hit musical features all of the famous songs which have made The Rocky Horror Show such a huge hit for 50 years and counting, including Sweet Transvestite, Science Fiction/Double Feature, Dammit Janet and, of course, the timeless floor-filler, The Time-Warp.

The Rocky Horror Show tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two squeaky clean college kids who meet Dr Frank ‘n’ Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house whilst on their way to visit their favourite college professor. It’s an adventure they’ll never forget, with fun, frolics, frocks and frivolity, bursting with timeless songs and outrageous outfits. The Rocky Horror Show is a guaranteed party, which famously combines science-fiction, horror, comedy and music while encouraging audience participation – meaning, of course, getting dressed-up in the most outrageous fancy dress.

Neighbours icon and pop legend Jason Donovan has returned to the role of Frank ‘n’ Furter, donning his fishnets for UK audiences for the first time in over 25 years, after a sellout season at the Theatre Royal in Sydney, for which he received rave reviews. Jason made his West End debut in 1991, playing Joseph in the London revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and went on to have a hugely successful stage career starring in shows including Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Grease The Musical. Jason’s debut album went platinum in Australia and was the biggest selling album in the UK in 1989. Since then, he has sold over 13 million albums worldwide. In February and March 2025, Jason returns to his live show, Doin’ Fine 25, which is set to visit venues across the UK.

Comedian Nathan Caton, who stars as the Narrator, has established himself as an award-winning, stand-up headliner over the past decade, bringing his unique blend of personal and political comedy to audiences up and down the country. His latest show Let’s Talk About Vex was filmed for a comedy special. His credits include his BBC Radio 4 sitcom Can’t Tell Nathan Caton Nothin. On screen, Nathan has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Russell Howard’s Good News, Eurogedden and was a finalist on FHM’s Stand-Up-Hero. He has received a Royal Television Society Award nomination as a writer, for his work with TV shows including Jojo & Gran Gran and Rastamouse. Nathan has also performed five solo Edinburgh Festival shows and toured internationally to Dubai, New York, Mumbai and Montreal.

The role of Brad is played by Connor Carson, Janet by Lauren Chia, Riff Raff by Job Greuter and Magenta / Usherette by Natasha Hoeberigs. Columbia is played by Jayme-Lee Zanoncelli, Rocky by Morgan Jackson and Eddie / Dr Scott by Edward Bullingham. Completing the cast are Phantoms Ryan Carter-Wilson, Arthur Janes, Hollie Nelson, Erica Wild with on-stage swing Alex Hetherington and on-stage swing/dance captain Stacey Monahan.

The Rocky Horror Show first began life in 1973 with an audience of just 63 people in the Royal Court’s Theatre Upstairs. It was an immediate success and transferred to the Chelsea Classic Cinema, before going on to run at the Kings Road Theatre, 1973-79 and the Comedy Theatre in the West End, 1979-80.

Since the show first opened The Rocky Horror Show has become the longest continuous run of a contemporary musical anywhere in the world. The show has been seen by over 35 million people worldwide in more than 30 countries and translated into 20 languages as it continues to delight audiences on its sell-out tour.

In 1975 it was transformed into a film called The Rocky Horror Picture Show which took over $135 million at the Box Office. Still shown in cinemas around the world more than 40 years after its premiere, it is the longest running theatrical release in cinema history. Many stars including Russell Crowe, Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Jerry Springer and Meatloaf have appeared in The Rocky Horror Show over the past 50 years.

Ready to thrill audiences with fun and naughty moments, The Rocky Horror Show is the boldest bash of them all. But be warned, this show has rude parts!

The Rocky Horror Show appears at the Theatre Royal Bath from Monday 14th to Saturday 19th October. To book tickets contact the Box Office on 01225 448844 or book online at theatreroyal.org.uk
