★★★★☆ The stage version of cleaves very strongly to the film. Cuts and edits have of course been made to better fit the medium but this is not a drastic reinterpretation of the material. The story beats hit the same points and the emotional arcs of the characters map out identically . . . If you are willing to excuse a few dated aspects inherited from the film version, Rain Man remains a very engaging piece of work. 

★★★☆☆  The musical numbers certainly got the crowd worked up, and in so doing achieved their goal. I will note that the sound levels could do with checking as the odd ballad was acutely drowned out by the accompanying synth and bubbly instrumentation.

★★☆☆☆ Hair is a series of tangentially related scenes and musical numbers with the barest hint of a story to string these elements together. It is much more focussed on its tone and the introduction of wacky characters than anything approaching a functional plot. Think Cats, with the cats replaced by hippies.

★★★★☆ It is somewhat redundant to extoll the virtues of The Mousetrap as a murder mystery play at this point. Aside from being one of many feathers in the cap of the country’s most prolific crime writer, it has been an ever-present staple of the stage since it was first produced.
