“…manages to be a political rant and an hilarious comedy at the same time … This is an amazing, beautifully conceived and executed play. Perhaps its publicity and presentation let it down a bit, but do not be put off. This is good theatre on all levels and deserves to be seen.

ETO deserves all the accolades that are bestowed upon it. The company is innovative, exciting and original. And, what’s more, they take chances. They bring to provincial audiences obscure, rarely seen works with such skill and daring that one might wonder what one ever saw in Madame Butterfly or La Traviata. Here we review their season of PAUL BUNYAN, KING PRIAM and THE MAGIC FLUTE all of which were outstanding and all of which earned ★★★★★

Propeller’s visit to the Everyman certainly started with a bang. THE COMEDY OF ERRORS is perhaps one of Shakespeare’s most farcical plays – or at least has the potential for farcical presentation. Edward Hall and his company took no prisoners with their production which was the proverbial helter-skelter, roller-coaster, non-stop, breathtaking ride with, it must be said, elements of pantomime.
