★★★★★ With ten minutes to go before ‘curtain up’, three or four doughty Shakespeare fans, looking more like fell walkers than theatre goers, squelched their way up to the wooden beams that provided rudimentary seating, light brown mud adding greatly to the weight of their shoes.
