She doubled as another boy, Ben, and was equally endearing in both parts, coming close to upstaging everyone with her almost Eric Morecambe self-conscious smiles to the audience . . . The Wardrobe in Bristol is moving – Help Build the New Theatre

The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol is collaborating with the team behind The Canteen and No1 Harbourside to create a new space for theatre, comedy, food, drink, music and much more in Old Market. The new venue is due to open December 2015 but to get there they need the public’s help in fundraising £70,000. The new space will be twice the capacity of the current Wardrobe and shows will be staged 7 days a week . . .

Ladies GoDiva at the Playhouse, Cheltenham

” . . . All the numbers were very theatrical and all of them could easily have come out of successful West End musicals. In fact, if you strung them together with a decent book you’d probably have a successful West End musical . . . there wasn’t a bad song among them . . . There was a good mix of humour and serious stuff and, for me, the solo numbers were almost the strongest . . . Ladies GoDiva is a class act. Helen Goldwyn’s songs are exceptionally good and the performances by all three ladies were really brilliant.”
