Review: HOTEL PARADISO at Circomedia in Bristol

★★★★☆ Last night’s performance was a sell-out, and it was pleasing to see how many young children were in the audience.  Lost in Translation Circus clearly enjoyed presenting this show at Circomedia, which offers a wonderful performance space.  We will surely see this very talented troupe return to Portland Square before too long.

Review: THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN at Bath Theatre Royal

★★★☆☆  Often a central performance can hold things together. Samantha Womack who plays Rachel, ‘the girl’, is such a one, helped I’m happy to report by some sound supporting performances. Her portrayal of a woman sailing close to the wind of alcoholism and breakdown is a finely judged piece of acting.
